Mogulus… to feel a little like CNN
I opened a TV channel, well… a web-TV channel, it counts anyway doesn’t it?
Some time ago I registered to www.mogulus.com, today I tried to use the “studio” to create a video channel to go along this website. The idea is to create a student TV station to alleviate the many things lacking from our degree course.
I still don’t know if I’ll be able to motivate enough fellow student to succeed, yet Mogulus’ platform is really nice. The “studio” is an Ajax+Flash web interface that allows the upload of pre-recorded videos or live feeds and then allows to combine those with info graphics to create live broadcasts or recorded shows. The interface might be slightly more easy to use, but the wiki is a great help and anyway with some persistent point and click / trial and error system you learn how to operate it pretty quickly.
Generally speaking I just hope that Mogulus as a whole will not turn in another pile of ridiculous videos as it is happening to part of Youtube already (and it has already happened for the other dozens of video sharing sites). My question is: why the most popular form of communication is to make your own stupidy, or your own brain emptiness, public? (Rethorical question, I know).
