It does work… well sort of
So after some attempts, ok a lot of attempts, I got a wi fi connection with the repeater. The trick wasn’t the configuration, quite easy from the online menu on the AP, rather than finding the position at the edge of the signal coming from the original wireless router. That did prove difficult. Also getting the signal to go one floor upstairs and some 15 meters away from the repeater is not that easy given that the beam has to cross some quite thick walls. I’ve found a EZ-12 reflector quite useful in boosting and directing the signal (also, the only cost is glue, paper, scissor an patience), but I have some more tweaking to do, with the aim of being able to move around the 4 by 3 meters room without having to stay on the bed to get a signal.
